About Eden Heigel

Parcours Dogs Agility Training Center

Eden started agility in the year 2000 and fell in love with the sport. She starting teaching in 2010. Today, being both American and French and fluent in both English and French, Eden moved to the department of Vienne in the central western part of France where she has her own training facility with Galican and Cool-Dogs equipment. Her 22 x 44 meters outdoor field is located in the small village of Verrue, located 30 minutes north of Poitiers.

Eden has trained with the best in the sport including Alen Marekovic, Silvia Trkman, Krisztina Kabai, and Tereza Kralova.

Today, Eden trains with her close friends, Monika Rylska, Tamas Traj and Lisa Frick, of whom her puppy Enfys is from.

Currently Eden travels to Budapest every couple of month to train with Tamas Traj at the DogFlow Arena. Under Tamas' instruction and teaching, Eden has also become a UKI judge.

We also host seminars with Monika, Tamas and Lisa at Parcours Dogs Agility so look out for dates!

Eden competed at the highest level in Agility with her big powerful border collie Aston, who is now retired since 2021. After a break in 2015 due to an Eden's ACL tear, Aston and Eden came back in 2016 with a vengeance. The pair qualified to tryout for the French National Agility Team, they didn't make the team but they came in at 19th out of 85 of the top teams in France. The pair traveled to 20 countries, on 3 continents over Aston's career.

Eden also ran her mum's JRT Lorky for many years, the two made the team to compete at European Open in Hungary while the family lived in Croatia. Lorky went clean in all of his team runs!

As a trainer Eden is familiar with many methods from basic clicker training to different handling techniques. Eden specializes in international handling techniques and course analyzation. She is familier with both American and European courses and competitions.

Today Eden's main man is little Enfys, from good friend Lisa Frick's dog Jack and Zuza Felczak's Tayo of Fetch Granting Pleasure. Enfys is a little red rocket, much like his dad just a little lighter on his feet. Eden and Enfys debuted in summer of 2021, now in A3 and making finals at some of the biggest competitions. They also we're Vice Champions at the Monster Cup in 2022.

The newest member of the family is Clark, born in 2021, is the half brother to Enfys. Clark is a riot. He's the star of Clark's Puppy Planet which is a dairy of how to raise an agility competitor. Look for that on the Lessons and Seminars page. Clark is about to make his debut in June of 2023.

"Every dog and handler are different, as a trainer I need to adapt to many different methods so I can find the best way to make that particular team the best that they can be"
